Wear your wellies for wildlife
Around 80 pupils and staff at Orston Primary School donned their wellies this week and helped to raise funds to help support the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust’s efforts to conserve barn owls and other farmland birds.
As well as wearing their wellies for a special Achievement Assembly, pupils swapped wellies, made butterfly feeders and came up with a host of ideas as to how wellies could help create new wildlife habitats!
This new ‘Wear your Wellies for Wildlife’ initiative is a fundraising idea where people wear their wellies as they go about their everyday business, raising sponsorship money and/or hosting fundraising events and activities on the day.
