WARRANTY

At Welly Warehouse, we recognise how important a reliable pair of wellington boots can be. Should you encounter any issues, our team is here to assist you promptly and efficiently.

We continuously monitor the quality of all products we supply to ensure they meet the highest standards. However, occasional issues may arise. Please note that our warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, nor damage resulting from misuse, accidents, alterations, unauthorised repairs, or failure to follow the care instructions provided on our website.

If your purchase develops a fault - whether visible or not - within the warranty period, we encourage you to review the information below and contact us.

⚠️ IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ BEFORE SUBMITTING A CLAIM

Before contacting us, you must review our CARE & MAINTENANCE GUIDANCE PAGE

Many commonly reported issues—such as white “blooming,” stiffness, or reduced waterproof performance—are often the result of insufficient cleaning, drying, or storage, rather than a manufacturing fault.

Claims submitted for issues that are identified as care-related or consistent with normal wear and tear may not be accepted under warranty.

WHAT WARRANTY DO MY BOOTS HAVE?

We are authorised stockists of all brands featured on our website. Many of these brands offer warranties ranging from 6 to 12 months against manufacturing defects, with some extending up to 2 years from the original date of purchase

Please be aware that any replacement product issued under warranty remains covered only for the duration of the original warranty period; the warranty does not restart upon replacement.

Manufacturers’ warranties specifically cover defects in materials or workmanship. However, they are subject to reasonable wear and tear and do not extend to damage caused by misuse.

PLEASE CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING:

  • Regular use on concrete or other abrasive surfaces will naturally reduce the lifespan of boot soles.
  • “Misuse” may include exposure to UV light, excessive heat, chemicals, or waste materials, all of which can damage rubber boots. Proper storage, regular cleaning, and occasional use of protective treatments can help maintain their condition and extend their lifespan.
  • Different boot styles are designed for specific purposes. It is important to select a product suitable for your intended use. If you require guidance, our team will be happy to help.
  • Neoprene-lined boots: Neoprene provides excellent insulation; however, it can cause feet to perspire, particularly in warmer conditions. This is sometimes mistaken for leakage, although it is highly unlikely for both boots to leak simultaneously.

HOW TO MAKE A WARRANTY CLAIM

Warranty periods vary by brand and product line. To initiate a claim, please email info@wellywarehouse.co.uk with your original order number and details of the issue. A member of our team will review your enquiry and advise on the next steps.

To help us process your claim as efficiently as possible, please include the following photographs:

  • Both soles
  • Both boots side by side
  • The internal code or label (if visible)
  • The fault (if visible)

This is the first stage of the process. We will contact you if any additional information is required.

SHOULD I RETURN MY BOOTS?

Please do not return your boots unless specifically instructed by a member of our team. In most cases, we can assess claims using the photographs provided. If the manufacturer requires the boots for further inspection, we will inform you. Please retain the boots until you receive confirmation.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

As rubber wellington boots are generally not repairable, accepted warranty claims are typically resolved with a replacement pair on a like-for-like basis. If your original product is no longer available, we may offer store credit equivalent to the original purchase value.

Please note that replacements issued under warranty do not extend the original warranty period.

If a replacement is approved, all stages of the claims process must be completed before dispatch. As a result, there may be a short period during which you are without your boots while we arrange the replacement.

WARRANTY

At Welly Warehouse we understand how important a pair of wellies can be - and should you encounter any problems at all then we are here to help.

We constantly monitor the quality of the products we sell to ensure that they are of the highest standard, but of course, problems do occur from time to time. If your purchase develops any kind of fault, visible or not, please read the following information and get in touch.

WHAT WARRANTY DO MY BOOTS HAVE?

We are authorised stockists for all of the brands on our website. Many of these brands include a 6-12 month warranty against manufacturing defects, with some even covering a period of up to 2 years, effective from the original date of purchase.

Manufacturers' warranties cover your boots specifically against manufacturing defects, however, please be aware that this is subject to reasonable wear and tear and does not cover any kind of misuse.

A few things to bear in mind:

  • All soles worn on a concrete or hard abrasive surface will inevitably cause the life of the sole to be shortened, just like shoes.
  • The term 'misuse' can include exposure to UV light, heat, chemicals and general waste, all of which can damage rubber boots. It's worth considering how and where you store them when not in use, and that it may be necessary to give them regular cleaning after use, and occasionally treat them with a protective spray to keep them in good condition and prolong their lifespan.
  • Please also consider at the point of purchase that different lines have been designed for a variety of different uses, so it is vital that you select something that has been designed to be suitable for your intended purpose. If you need help with this then please don't hesitate to get in touch.
  • A note on neoprene lined boots: Neoprene is a very warm material and if you have not had neoprene boots before you may find that your feet perspire a little in them, especially in warmer weather.  We often hear from customers who are confusing this with their boots leaking, but it is extremely rare for both left and right boots to leak at the same time.

HOW TO MAKE A CLAIM UNDER WARRANTY

Each of the product lines/brands we sell carry different warranty periods, so in the first instance, please email info@wellywarehouse.co.uk with your original order number and details of the fault so that one of our team can advise.

If you could include the following photographs of your boots this will help to speed the process up and ensure that the claim runs as smoothly as possible:

  • Both soles
  • Both boots side by side
  • The code/label on the inside of the boot (if visible)
  • The fault (if visible)

Please note, this is the first step and a member of our team will be in touch if further details are required.

SHOULD I SEND MY BOOTS BACK TO YOU?

Please do not return your boots to us unless advised to do so by a member of our team. In most cases we can perform the necessary inspections using the photographs supplied above, but we will let you know if the manufacturer needs the boots back for any reason - so please do not dispose of them until instructed to do so.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

It is not generally possible to repair rubber wellington boots, so if a warranty claim is accepted we may offer a replacement pair of boots on a like for like basis. If your original choice is no longer available we may offer store credit to the value of your original purchase so that you can choose something new. Replacement of your boots under warranty will not be extended after the original warranty period has expired.
Please note: if a replacement is accepted all steps of the claims process must be completed prior to us sending out any replacement boots, so there may be a very short period of time where you are without your boots while we issue this replacement.
